Dead Man's Party
Buffy has returned home but the welcome is not entirely warm. Still
feeling isolated now that her friends have filled some of the gaps in their
lives caused by her leaving, Buffy is distracted by a zombie voodoo mask
which suddenly starts to raise the dead during her welcome home party. Then
Giles has a go at persuading Principal Snyder to allow Buffy back into
school.

Band Candy
Xander and Willow continue to explore their still secret feelings for
one another while around them, fundraising for the school's band goes bad
when Mr. Trick and Ethan Rayne spike the candy with something that turns

while Joyce and Giles are just plain embarrassed.

Revelations
Xander catches Buffy with Angel. A demon comes to Sunnydale trying to
get his hands on and in a glove that will make him more powerful. A watcher
comes to look after Faith. While the whole Angel-Buffy-Xander situation is
becoming nice and complicated, the watcher takes advantage and Faith finds
herself taking sides.

Lover's Walk
The gang get their SAT exam results back and enjoy mixed results. Spike
returns to Sunnydale after being dumped by Drusilla, and, lovelorn, he
kidnaps Willow and Xander with a plan to make Willow cast a love spell on
Dru. When the mayor picks up on this he sends a hit squad after Spike, Buffy
and Angel, and Spike enjoys the resultant fight so much he snaps back to his
old self and forgets the love spell. But when Cordelia and Oz effect the
escape of Spike's captives they find them closer together than they should
be, and a dramatic accident results.

The Wish
Oz and Cordelia are dealing with the breakdown of their respective
relationships with Willow and Xander. But only Cordelia gets to live her own
version of It's A Wonderful Life when she wishes that Buffy had never come
to Sunnydale. Unfortunately, she doesn't live it for long, as the ruthless
vampires, Xander and Willow, kill her under Giles' nose, in this new, much
more vicious reality.

Amends
At Christmas, Angel is haunted by an ancient evil that torments him with
the images of those he has killed. Under strong duress, he contemplates

Bad Girls
Wesley Wyndham-Price is Buffy's new Watcher, but no one takes to him,
even though he isn't an evil Watcher. In his first couple of days he
irritates Giles and prompts Buffy to take foolish chances and ignore her
studies while she battles a once-banished group of demons searching for an
amulet. Faith takes Buffy on a wild night out with horrific results.

Evil genie Anya tricks Willow into helping her with a spell that

her while avoiding her opposite number's roving hands.

A demon is trying to buy his passage out of Sunnydale. He hopes to sell

plan. Meanwhile, Giles has unofficially resumed his role as Watcher, as
Wesley is distracted from his sacred duties by Cordelia's amorous
attentions.

Choices
Buffy learns she has been accepted at a quality university, which causes
Joyce to start proudly informing the relatives. Buffy herself must make some

The Prom
Joyce has a heart-to-heart talk with Angel, trying to convince him to
leave town because of the emotional effect he has on Buffy. Xander discovers
that Cordelia's family has lost everything because her father cheated on his
taxes for the past decade and she has taken a part-time job to pay for a
prom dress. Strangely enough, this improves their relationship. Angel breaks
up with Buffy and she takes it out on a few hell-hounds, which have been
trained to disrupt the prom.

distracted from her purpose when Angel is weakened with a lethal poison, and
it's slayer against slayer when Buffy faces Faith for what may be the last
time.
