The temples at Luxor |

The temple of Amun at Karnak in Egypt includes amongst its construction one of the country's masterpieces in the form of a hypostyle hall. A total of twelve massive columns which are nearly twenty-one metres tall are surrounded by more than a hundred smaller columns, each of which is thirteen metres tall. |
