Four of the plotters were well-connected young men: Sir Thomas Percy (centre), Jack Wright (left of Percy), Thomas Winter (or Wintour, extreme right), and their leader, the charismatic Robert Catesby (next to Winter). The gunpowder man was Guido Fawkes (aka John Johnson, centre right).
