The History Files does not collect your personal information through a donations payment. No information is recorded or stored by the History Files. Donations via Stripe or PayPal may generate a record of your donation in the normal way.

Stripe does not maintain a database of donations, but donors may personally disconnect, or request the deletion of, data which may have been generated from their linked financial accounts. In such cases, please submit a direct request to Stripe through their online form (opens an external link on the Stripe site).

The ultimate owner of the History Files is P L Kessler, whose role it is to secure the editorial and financial independence of the History Files in perpetuity. Reader donations support the work of the History Files. Please note that your support does not constitute a charitable donation, so it is not eligible for Gift Aid in the UK nor a tax-deduction elsewhere.
