With so many diverse productions to include, there are bound to
be exceptions, but this is the general rule...

Each entry covers one programme in its entirety and
consists, more or less, of the following:

Series name, e.g. WAR OF THE WORLDS
and background, followed by regular cast, eg.

Dr Harrison Blackwood Jared Martin Suzanne McCullough Lynda Mason Green

Production credits, eg. Executive Producers: Sam and Greg Strangis

Production company, eg. A Triumph Entertainment Corporation Production

Number and duration of episodes and whether colour or black and white, eg.
43 colour 50-minute episodes
(Commercial channel times are minus advert breaks unless otherwise stated)

followed by season breakdown (where appropriate)
and UK premiere dates, eg.

Season One:
23rd September 1993 - 24th July 1994
(ITV dates are networked, unless stated)

This is followed, where relevant, or possible, by a guide to every episode transmitted (and in some cases ones that weren't), in chronological order of transmission (unless a studio or creator preference is stated), reading downwards through left- and then right-handed entries. (Where possible, this may differ slightly from transmission order when episodes are clearly being shown in the wrong order.)

Episodes are treated as follows:
Title and author, eg.

The Meek Shall Inherit

w (Name where appropriate)

followed by synopsis and appropriate supporting cast, plus,
in some instances, other credits and dates, eg.

Sergeant Coleman Norah Grant
Sylvia Van Buren Ann Robinson

Director: Michael Winterbottom

(Some entries include episode titles only, others consist solely of numbers of episodes.) Single plays include either full or main cast (as stated), relevant
production credits and transmission dates.
