Shadows And Symbols (Part 3 of 3)
Stardate 52152.6: The new host for Dax, Ezri, is not a Trill initiate.
She was the only available host for the injured symbiont on the journey back
home, and is clearly not trained for her task. Nevertheless, she nervously
accompanies the Siskos on their quest, and suffers warp field-induced
sickness over the control panel only the once. While Sisko uncovers the orb,
and suffers a flashback to his time as Benny (from Season Six's Far Beyond
The Stars), Worf and his band of Klingon and human volunteers enact a fiery
epitaph for Jadzia, to allow her entry into the Klingon warrior afterlife,
and Colonel Kira and Odo play a dangerous bluff against the Romulans who are
smuggling weapons onto their medical facility on a Bajoran moon.

leaving Starfleet is her only option.
