After a class trip to the zoo some students start to behave strangely, suffering personality changes whenever they get close to some evil African hyenas, and Xander is one of them.

Buffy learns the truth about her mysterious friend Angel, after the Master sends three warrior-vampires to destroy her. He was formerly Angelus, a 240 year-old vampire with a different outlook on immortality. While she is digesting this information, Darla hatches a plan that will force Buffy to slay Angel.

Studying an ancient, cryptic volume, Willow releases the demon trapped within on to the internet. Buffy can't slay him so Giles enlists the help of Ms Calendar, the Computer Sciences teacher who also happens to be a techno-pagan, an IT witch, to send him back where he came from.

Puppet Show

A new school principal starts throwing his weight around, and forces Giles, Buffy, Willow and Xander to take part on the talent contest. Someone puts a dampener on the show when one of the stars is murdered. Buffy isn't sure who it was, but the ventriloquist's dummy is getting awfully frisky.

Nightmares

People's worst nightmares begin to come true after a boy is put in a coma. Wendell is attacked in class by spiders, Giles forgets how to read, and Xander suddenly finds his clothes have gone missing in the middle of school. The only way to stop the nightmare world from taking over is to make the comatose Billy face his fears.

Invisible Girl (aka Out Of Mind, Out Of Sight)

In a potential X-File crossover, Marci Ross, completely ignored by everyone at school, has become invisible as a result. Citing Cordelia as the main culprit, she terrorises Sunnydale High. Buffy has to save Cordelia, who manages to express her position as Ms Popularity with a stunning and heartwarming piece of insight.
